Jay Spies is a Financial Planner specializing in developing comprehensive financial strategies for his over 400 physician clients and their families throughout the country. His main areas of focus are the development of personalized retirement plans and investment strategies, in-depth analysis of risk management and debt management, and ongoing portfolio review to assess and proactively adapt to changes. Jay works closely with his Client Relationship Manager, Abraham Miller, who assists in the oversight of office operations. 

Jay has over 20 years of experience in financial services. He joined Heritage in 2023, and was a financial advisor with Martin/Wight & Co. prior to that. Before joining Martin/Wight, Jay worked with Capital Financial Partners, and was a Registered Investment Advisor of Hornor, Townsend & Kent, Inc. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland College Park, and went on to earn his Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore School of Public Policy, as well as a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is a member of the Maryland Bar Association and the York County Chamber of Commerce, and volunteers extensively with the York County Heritage Trust. He is also a co-owner of Auger Brewing, a new brewery and restaurant in York, PA. 

Jay lives in York, PA, with his wife, Kristi, and their two children, Mason and Harper.
